Congratulations! Just by being here, you are taking the first step towards self-exploration; which takes courage. Finding a therapist can be an anxiety-inducing & an overwhelming experience. My goal is for you to feel truly seen, heard, & understood by developing a warm, compassionate, non-judgmental space where trust & safety is provided. I will be an ally & support for you throughout the process of discovery and transformation. I can help you utilize what has worked in the past, as well as teach you new tools to create more peace in your life.
I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. In 2015, I graduated with a Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University. I have had the opportunity to worked with adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds & cultures on various obstacles including, but not limited to: anxiety, crisis intervention, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, mood disorders, pain &/or chronic illness, relationship conflicts, spirituality/religious concerns, suicidal thoughts, and trauma work.
My method is to have a collaborative working relationship with you to create a unique plan that targets your specific needs, desires & goals. I have a holistic perspective & value the interrelationships between the mind-body-spirit, & the individual-family/friends-community. I have an eclectic approach that is founded on empirically proven & evidenced based practices. I draw upon different talk therapies, mindfulness-based strategies, & incorporate psychosomatic techniques to help regulate emotions, calm & soothe the nervous system, gain self-awareness, improve relationships, and confront past wounds. I enjoy utilizing nature into sessions. I'm always ready to put on snow pants to explore the outdoors!
I look forward to the opportunity to hold space with you; to encourage healing and growth during this part of your journey.
